Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
In Bhupatinagar, East Midnapore, Bengal BJP has intensified its protests, led by Subhendu Adhikari, who strongly criticized Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Adhikari issued a formal warning, stating, "I will not rest until I take on Mamata. She won't receive a single vote here."
The protest stems from allegations of police mistreatment of BJP workers in Bhupati Nagar, with claims of house demolitions and false cases against them. Adhikari, standing in solidarity with the affected workers, visited their homes, listened to grievances, and urged them to protest similarly to the historic Nandigram incident, advising villagers to alert each other by blowing conch shells if police enter the village without prior notice.
